Make Your Own Sunshine is a celebration of warmth, hope, and light- painted in my countryside studio in Orange, NSW. I created this piece on a warm Spring morning with Taylor Swift's new album bopping in the background, shaping both the rhythm and the mood of the work.
Inspired by my childhood on a farm near Tamworth, this painting reflects the simple magic found in quiet moments outdoors. Soft pink and blue skies, glowing gums, and golden paddocks come together to express a sense of calm, optimism, and connection to the land.
Using layered acrylic, oil pastels, and oil stick, I built up texture and movement to create a landscape that feels alive, an artwork designed to brighten your home and invite you to make your own sunshine every.
