We moved from Tamworth in April 2022 after buying a small farm and are now fourth-generation family farmers happily calling Newbridge home.
Since moving we have been enjoying the distinct changes in seasons and meeting the friendly locals. Like most of NSW, it hasn't really stopped raining since we moved.
This semi-abstract original artwork is a representation of a very wet Spring on our farm. Centering around a calm moment at sunset in a favourite spot of mine watching the big old trees reflected in our swollen dam as the rain falls - a scene not uncommon to this area right now.
The colours have been inspired by the vivid pinks and whites of the spring blossoms bursting out at this time of year that contrast so beautifully with dark green pines while the looming threat of frosts (even snow) and rain still remain.
