All Year Round is a collaborative exhibition by artists Sophie Corks and Carina Chambers, celebrating the changing seasons around Orange N.S.W and its surrounding landscapes.

Through their use of colour and texture, both artists explore the emotions that each distinct season elicits in their own vibrant styles.

The exhibition will be held at Byng Street Boutique Hotel, a luxury art and design hotel in the heart of Orange. Known for its commitment to celebrating Australian artists, the hotel features an extensive collection of works by local artists, making it the perfect venue for this dynamic exhibition showcasing our regional beauty. After opening night, the exhibition will be open daily to the public from 10am -2pm.

Join artists Sophie and Carina at Byng Street Boutique Hotel and toast the opening of this exhibition. This is a wonderful opportunity to see both the latest works from Sophie and Carina surrounded by the architectural beauty of the Byng St Boutique Hotel. Capacity for the night is limited and a ticket will need to be shown on arrival.

COLOUR, CREATIVITY & CONVERSATIONS

AFTERNOON TEA & ART AT BYNG ST

FRIDAY 1ST NOV 2PM - 5PM

Join us for a delightful afternoon of colour, creativity, and conversation at the beautiful Byng Street Boutique Hotel. This unique event features an artist talk and an experimental colour class with All Year Round artists Sophie Corks and Carina Chambers, where you'll explore the magic of colour through a hands-on creative experience. All levels of art experience are welcome!

Renowned Australian author and contemporary country cook, Sophie Hansen will bring her passion for warm hospitality, local ingredients and tales from her recent trip to Italy to this special occasion, including her favourite Italian Hazelnut Torte. From a culinary perspective, she will share her thoughts on the importance of colour in her dishes. We’ll end the afternoon with an exclusive wine tasting led by Nadja Wallington of ChaLou Wines, the 2024 James Halliday Dark Horse Award winner. Throughout the event, you'll be immersed in the hotel's creative atmosphere, surrounded by its stunning interiors and the All Year Round exhibition.

This event will be hosted in the Dining Room at the Byng Street Hotel and numbers are strictly capped at 30 people for this event. So gather your friends and join us for a fun afternoon out at the exclusive Byng St Hotel, Orange N.S.W.

This class is an 18+ event and will involve working with art materials so please bring an apron to save your clothes. 

SOPHIE HANSEN

Sophie Hansen was born and raised in Sydney and now lives with her husband and kids on her farm outside Orange in country New South Wales.

She is an avid supporter of all things local and is an author, photographer and cook.

Known for her 5 Things to Be Cheerful About newsletter, Local is Lovely blog, and her five books, including; Around the Kitchen Table and Basket by the Door.

Nadja Wallington FROM CHALOU WINES

Recently awarded James Halliday’s Dark Horse Winery. Owners and vignerons Nadja and Steve run ChaLou together, a bud-to-bottle winery and vineyard in the Orange region, where their love for viticulture and deep connection to the land result in expressive wines that capture the ever-changing nature of their vineyard.

Nadja has been the recipient of numerous industry accolades and Scholarships. Most recently she was named as the Young Winemaker of the year and has made the Top Young Guns of Wines in 2022 and 2023. Nadja is a Len Evans tutorial Scholar and alumni of the Wine Australia Future Leaders program.
