Painted between paddock and memory, this work sits within the space of “nowhere” and “somewhere”, a familiar landscape (near Bathurst NSW) held in recollection. It begins en plein air as a sketch in the stillness of early morning, capturing fleeting light and atmosphere. In the studio, these impressions are layered with colour, emotion and music, forming a landscape that moves beyond exactness, blurring the line between reality and memory.
